I left tennis at seventeen. I didn't plan to stay away. But life does what life does, and somehow tennis, which once consumed my every living breath, vanished. Overnight. Just like that. Gone.
Recently, I made a come back. What brought that on was a major life upheaval that required extreme first aid. Tennis was to become the remedy. Although, I didn’t know it at the time. And the moment I stepped back on court, my body remembered everything my mind had tried to forget.
This is the record of what happens next. I have set myself a goal: to compete in an IFT Masters tournament in November 2026. Not just to compete, but to find out who I am on the other side of that child who once dreamed of playing Pro. The one I left behind at seventeen. The one who never left me, but who continued to live, buried inside of me. And, the one, I never forgot.
Every training session. Every match. Every loss. Every small, hard-won improvement and every set-back. Written, honestly, as it happens.
